SADC Experiences another year of food shortages
19 March 2013
The current dry spell is most likely to affect food production in the SADC region again this year. The recent Agromet report observed that rainfall between February 12 and March 4, this year, has been below normal in Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe. This may lead to the skyrocketing of the already food prices in the region.
