The Business Expectations Survey (BES) by Bank of Botswana for H2 2017 showed an overall decline in business confidence from 48% in H1 2017 to 46% in H2 2017. Business confidence decreased among domestic-oriented businesses to 46% in H1 from 48% in H2, while remaining the same for exporters at 50%. The survey revealed more optimism about business conditions in the first half of 2018, with expectations of improved domestic demand.
