Bank of Botswana's Business Confidence Survey showed that overall business confidence has increased to 43 percent in H2 2016 up from 36 percent in H1 2016. Among domestic oriented businesses business confidence increased to 43 percent while declining significantly for exporters, from 71 percent to 42 percent. Confidence among businesses is expected to recover in the first half of 2017 attributable to a more positive outlook from both domestic and export oriented businesses.
