According to Bank of Botswana Banking Supervision Annual Report of 2015, employment in the banking sector declined by 3.4% from 5,202 in 2014 to 5,030 in 2015. Different factors such as the merging of some posts/restructuring exercise, voluntary exit and retirement and retrenchments contributed to the reduction of people employed in the finance sector.
